Off-road: Wadi Tayyibah & "Grand Canyon"
Part1: Wadi Sidr/SanaContinue from Wadi Sidr/Sana
turn right to Masafi Highway and after 1.4km
turn right again to Al Hala village to Wadi Tayyibah
This route is part of an old road that used
to link Dubai to the east coast
Sections of disintegrating tarred highway are still
visible in places and surrounded by the green of
plantations and fruit trees
mountains near the village of Tayyibah

Back to Masafi Highway via Wadi Tayyibah
and we decide to visit the "Grand Canyon" too

Off-road: Wadi Sidr/Sana

This in an interesting alternative route to the east coast
from the village of Al Ghail on Wadi Sidr/Sana.
Start our journey at 7.30am
after 1.5hours drive, we reached Al Dhaid, Sharjah.
We stop for breakfast at Al Dhaid Restaurant
Our breakfast
After breakfast we look for the signpost to Al Ghail
and from there we drive to the village of Al Ghail
Al Ghail Village
from the mosque we keep to the left head straight
on the track pass the water tower
In the wadi bed (Wadi Al Fara)...continue driving
a small graveyard on our left at Wadi Al Fara
continue driving....to Wadi Sidr

continue straight along the wadi,
pass several groups of houses and a dam

After the dam and continue on the new tarmac road,
heading straight along Wadi Sidr

ends in a village near a small shop.

the fertile little valley on our left
up the hill between the road and along the ridge above
the fertile little valley on our left. Continue climbing until
we reach the plateau on top of the hill

continue downhill to the valley bottom
quite steep and rough in places

to meet up the Dibba-Masafi road.
