2D1N Off-road Musadam: Khor A'Najd

From Acacia Forest we drove back to the junction
to Khor A'Najd beach, turn right and after 1.4km
take a left just past the military firing range
and continue on the spectacular track carved out
of the side of the mountains, running up on your left

This is the only bit of coast accessible by car in the fjords
and it is worth a visit for it stunning views.

The long and winding road that leads to a beach.

The beach is a little muddy and pebbly
and not ideal for swimming

We woke up early on Saturday morning
Had our breakfast in the hotel
Later checked out and headed to the
Acacia Forest at Sall Ala and Khor A Najd

Shady acacia forest near Sal Al A'la.
In winter the soil is covered with grass, but
unfortunately all grass was already burned by the sun
A beautiful and peaceful picnic spot at weekends

giving shade for livestock

From Sayh Plateau we continued for a few kilometres
just beneath the summit of Jabel Harim
to appreciate this truly spectacular view

2D1N Off-road Musadam: Jabel as Sayh (Part 1)

We went to Mussadam on Friday
After 3 hours drive we reached Oman Checkpoint
Not crowded this time, maybe we were there early
and we got our passport stamped within 15 minutes.

Road take you to downtown Khasab
Had our breakfast at Musandum Restaurant
Delicious food at reasonable price
After that, headed into the wadi & mountains
The road to the wadi & mountains
Up the mountain, passed through scattered
mountain settlements and offers glimpses of a unique
and tought way of life that was able to endure against
the promises of modern life

the farmers here tend fields of wheat
and alfalfa and farm sheep, goats and palm groves
Small settlements & houses built into the rock
