Ramadan & Eid Festival 2008

We visited the Ramadan & Eid Festival
at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre
showcasing consumer goods
from 11 countries on 29 Sep

The show spans six halls and the Atrium,
showcasing family-friendly consumer goods
such as clothes, Arabic food and children's toys,
as well as traditional song and dance,
to celebrate the importance of the holy month of Ramadan.

A joyful atmosphere has been created,
combining shopping and tradition.

The exhibition features consumer goods from
the UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Syria,
Morocco, Vietnam, China, Kuwait and Turkey.

Northen India Food for dinner

Dinner at Arab Udupi Restaurant on 26/09/08
We thought it may be a typical Arab restaurant
by looking at their signboard

Instead, they served Traditional Specialities
& Mouth Watering Mughalai,South Indian,
North Indian & Phel Buri Dishes

and our food for tonight will be
Chicken Afghani, Veg. Makhanwala
Veg. Biriyani & Butter Nan

Dinner with friends

We had dinner with our friends
last night at Meena Cafeteria.

Our friend found a Cafeteria operated by
Malaysian cook at Mina Zayed Port.
It is actually a staff cafeteria,
but outsiders are welcome.

They have mixed rice in the main hall
however you can order others like
hor fun, fried rice and others dishes separately.

After dinner we went to Casttello for coffee
we have a pleasant chat at the
coffee house with our friends.
J had a cup of cappucino
me & YT had ice cream for dessert

We went to Dubai ....

We went to Dubai on Saturday
the weather still quite hot outside
we just do some shopping at Dragon Mart

Later we had dinner at
Chinese Red Castle Restaurant
3 of us only can order 2 dishes
YT love to eat Braised Pork Trotter
He enjoyed the meals very much

On our way back to Abu Dhabi
we stopped at Jumeirah Beach Hotel
to take some photo of Burj Al Arab

It was a coincidence that there was a Pre Launch Event
for Reem Diamond, Al Reem Island Abu Dhabi
at the Safinah Ballroom today at 8.30pm.
So we also take a look at the new launch project.

Gathering with friends

Date: 12 Sep 2008

Our friends come from Dubai this morning
and we met up with them at Marina Mall,
Abu Dhabi around 11am

then we go to Shanghai Surprise for lunch
food is ok only...not much taste. :(

In the evening we attend the Mid-Autumn
Festival Gathering at Khalidiyah Village, 8pm
which was organised by Singapore group.
53 adult and 15 children attend this gathering.

We have some finger food and refreshments
then follow by a lantern walk for some of the children
and their parents around the neighbourhood.
Finally, 5 A380 Airplane models
given out to top 5 winners for the lantern riddle.

fun..fun..fun
we are very happy to meet up with
our old friends and get to know
some new friends too :)

"Hari Merdeka" activity

During our last week stay in KL
we went back to J hometown with YT
and our niece and nephew on "Hari Merdeka" Eve

On "Hari Merdeka" we went for fishing
The river was located in one of the palm oil plantation
we have to drive pass a river, palm oil plantation
and some little wooden hut to reach our destination

Look at YT, he was very happy doing his fishing
haha...he only act like fishing by holding a fishing rod..

Later in the evening we make a trip to seaside with YT

Hainan day 6-Haikou

Date: 28 August 2008

It was our last day trip in Haikou
After breakfast, we went to a shopping center
nearby for some last minute shopping

By 12pm we went back to our relative's house for lunch.
After that, they send us to Haikou Meilan International Airport
When we reached airport then only
knew that our flight delay for an hour.
So we have to wait in the airport
for 3 hours before our flight departure.
When we reached JB it was almost midnight.

Last but not least,
we must thanks our relatives for thier hospitality
they showed us during our stayed in Haikou
and this was indeed a truly memorable journey.

For all of you who visit my blog
We spend about RM2000(including air ticket)
for a 6D5N free and easy trip to Hainan Province.

Hainan day 5-Qionghai

Date: 27 Aug 2008

The hotel we stayed last night

After checked out from hotel in the morning
we had coffee and fried noodle at one of the coffee shop

Then walked across the road
we visited one of our relative there
and chatted with them for almost 2 hours

we started our journey back to the village
it took almost an hour to reach there

by the time we were back to Haikou it was already 7pm
and we had our dinner at Hannan Restaurant
