6D5N HK-Macau: Fortaleza do Monte (大炮台),Macau

Fortaleza do Monte (Mount Fortress"大炮台") is located immediately to the east of the so-called Ruins of St Paul's. The fortress was part of the Jesuit complex of St Paul. The fortress was only used once, in 1622, to repel Dutch invasion. It fell into disuse and disrepair when the Jesuits left.

The Ruins of St. Paul's (大三巴牌坊) refer to the façade of what was originally the Cathedral of St. Paul, a 17th century Portuguese cathedral in Macau dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle.

Largo do Senado (Senate Square) and the Leal Senado Building

  • The Senado square is paved with a wave-patterned mosaic of coloured stones, created by Portuguese experts. From the main road to the church of St. Dominic, the pavement extends to the ruins of St. Paul's, making the heart of the city a pedestrian paradise
  • The Leal Senado Building is a classic Portuguese style building along the Main Road and right opposite the central fountain. Originally a Council House where Chinese officers met with the Portuguese.
  • Today it houses the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau. The ground floor holds cultural exhibitions very often.

The Holy House is actually a place for charity,
giving aids to people in need.

originally dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary.

Macau(澳門)located next to Hong Kong, until 1999 Macau was an over seas territory of Portugal. The world's most densely populated place to live, Macau is best known as Asia's largest destination for gambling taking in even more revenue than Las Vegas.

2.2 kilometerslong and is the third one that connects

But now it is only for sightseeing purposes.
