I think you asked Sock Peng about the Adapter to mount Filter. I just received the Adapter I ordered last week from Ebay which as a different Filter size for USD5.9 including free shipping. The built are pretty nice. I bought that size because I need to use it with my existing Filter but this caused the original lens cap to be too small.

If you want to use the original lens cap, you can try to check on this one.

Agnes, I think i am too late to warn you not to sticks those filter on your lens. It is not really recommended to do that as it actually spoil the image quality of the Leica lense you have. ( A reasonable OK filter will normally cost more then RM100 where a good filter cost couple of hundred, So, imagine the price of those thing you sticks on your lens which is cheap ).

Secondly, the reason you need the lens adapter is to hold the filter and enclose everything in side to avoid fine sands going into the camera and spoils the gears / motor.

The filter you stick on the lens only protects the lens coating on the at this moment ( + degrades your original superior lens quality ). When you go back to the middle east, those fine sand will go into the camera from the side and jam up the gears if you shoot around places with sands.. I believe that was your original worry when you asked Sock Peng about the adapter and filter.

If i were you, i will returns to the shop that sticks the crystal filter, asking them to removes it without damaging the lens and then get a adapter and proper filter.

Pro 1 is just one of the Hoya's CPL ( Circular Polarizer ). For automatic focus camera, it must use a CPL. The most famous one is CPL from B&W. I am however only afford to use Hoya's Pro 1 so far. The one i used with my LX3 is only a Kenko brand CPL.

If you have enough time, you should be able to shop around in HK to get the adapter imediately. Or you can contact those ebay seller that based in HK for their address so that you can do a direct walk in purchase. ( If they do have a shop )
