Liwa Trip - Liwa Hotel, Palace

Date: 6 Mar 2009

Finally we reach Liwa

Liwa Rest House & shops

Liwa Hotel
A four star hotel overlooks the natural fertile oasis
in the Rub Al Khali desert also known as The Empty Quarter,
surrounded by some of the highest dunes in the world.

Sheikh Zayed’s palace
belong to the belated former President of the UAE,
Sheikh Zayed, who died in 2004

Lots of greenery

We took a different route back to Abu Dhabi
the Madinat Zayed route
a sleepy little town

Hi Agnes, thanks to you and your camera and well taken photos I get to see these wonderful places. Love the blue skies, the palm trees and especially the beautiful buildings.

I've stopped watching TV on Middle East long time. Hate to see the killings and bombings there.

Love the empty stretch roads....bet there's a lot of BMW's there....

You have fun, Agnes, Lee.
