7D6N Jordan: Petra-At the gate of Petra (Day 1)

The main gate
Just pass the main gate and walk toward the Siq
Horse ride(USD3) to the siq entrance been offered
but we decided to walk instead
The Djinn Blocks
The first sign that we are approaching something special.
They are huge blocks of stone, lightly craved & also
called "god blocks".
The Obelisk Tomb & Bab As-Siq Triclinium
The top half is a tomb & the lower half is a triclinium,
or "dining room" for the family making a formal visit
to the tomb.
The Dam
It was built by the Nabateans to divert the flash floods
of Wadi Musa to Wadi al-Mataha through the Tunnel
After walk for 20 minutes we are finally at the Siq entrance
