7D6N Jordan: Mount Nebo (Day 4)

Date: 2/12/2009

This is one of the important Christian and Jewish sites in Jordan. According to the Bible "Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah which is opposite Jericho". From there he was able to gaze upon the Promised Land that God had told him he would not be allowed to enter.

On a clear day from Mt Nebo, you can see Hebron,
Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, Qumran, Jerusalem,
Ramallah, Jericho, Nablus, and Lake Tiberias

suffering and death of Jesus Christ on the cross, and
